successor of the popular GTA IV driving mod
Fully supported GTA V versions: 1.36, 1.38, 1.39, 1.41, 1.43
Upwards compatible with: 1.44, 1.45, 1.46 ... 1.50 (mod does not affect latest DLC vehicles though)
This mod changes driving physics in GTA V to be as realistic as possible. Physics definitions for every single vehicle have been created from scratch utilizing every single available parameter. Development started on May 13 2015 and took 3 years, 1600+ hours. Driving physics were created for each of the 357 vehicles individually, spending an average of 3.5 hours on each vehicle. Every single change made by this mod has been MEASURED INGAME and CONFIRMED to be working as intended. Hence the long development phase. no assumptions. This mod is based on hard facts only.
Most striking features of this mod:
- Realistic driving physics (proper tire grip on different surfaces, traction curve, slip angle)
- All driveable surfaces have reworked properties
- Realistic offroad driving (giving the HUGE offroad areas in GTA V a purpose, hillclimb, dirt track)
- Performance of every single vehicle matches its real-life counterpart perfectly (acceleration curve, top speed, braking, grip, handling characteristics, wheelspin)
- Huge improvements to motorcycles
- Improvements to other physics (eg making it possible to ram police vehicles, slightly more realistic PIT maneuver)
- automated brakes have been disabled for every single vehicle
- Police cars dont drive like on rails anymore, more realistic physics are applied to their vehicles
- Alternative "Scaled Topspeed" version of this mod, offering speed governor and brake assist

@Euz in order to do that, you'll need to open (with Winrar) the "RealisticDrivingV_2.5_Scaled_Topspeed.oiv" or the "RealisticDrivingV_2.5_Real_Topspeed.oiv" package. In it, you'll find a "handling.meta" file, which is where all the modded handling data of the vanilla vehicles is located. So, let's say you want to apply a modded handling to a Ferrari Portofino add-on, for example. What you'll need to do is:
1. Figure out which vanilla car is the closest in comparison to the add-on you're trying to edit. In this case, it is the Grotti Carbonizzare.
2. Go to https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Vehicles_in_GTA_V, search for "Carbonizzare" and locate its handling name. On that link that I provided, the handling name of any vehicle is always located under "Miscellaneous Information".
3. Once you have that handling name (which in this case is "carboniz"), right click on the "handling.meta" provided within Realistic Driving V mod, select "Edit with Notepad" and search for "carboniz".
4. Once you find it, copy everything from <fInitialDragCoeff all the way down to </SubHandlingData>.
5. With OpenIV, open the folder containing your add-on dlc.rpf file and go to dlc.rpf/data/handling.meta
6. Right click on "handling.meta", select "Edit" and paste all the data your previously copied from <fInitialDragCoeff all the way down to </SubHandlingData>. Save it!If you do this process correctly, you'll have your Ferrari Portofino driving with the Carbonizzare handling. It sound complicated at first, but it's the same process for any other add-on. Once you do this a few times, it gets easier.

Mod sucks. My GTA error and Crash after installing this mod. I've try uninstall this mod and still crash. Check your sucks mod dude.

Overall, a great mod. But the handling on motorcycles is a bit odd in my opinion

l think l had this mod too which l think l installed the raw sense of speed (unplayable most of time lol) but l stopped playing for a few months then RSC updated the game then got crashes after storymode loads. then updated scripthook but still crashing then updated rpf file using openiv then l finally l could play but with original rpf handling which sucks a lot

I think the motorcycle is odd, it doesn't have its maneuverability I would expect it to, overall its a great mod.

This mod was thoroughly tested with game version 1.50 (0.1868) and worked fine. no bugs, no crashes. all story missions completed without a hitch.
