KAP-40 from Black Ops 2 by TheNathanNS
1.) Description
This mod replaces the Tec-9 (Combat SMG) with the KAP-40 from Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
The KAP-40 makes an appearence in all of Black Ops II's modes, campaign, zombies and of course, multiplayer.
Anyway, this model features:
* Perfect hand positioning
* Slightly futuristic fashioned (Black Ops 2 takes place in 2025 for the unaware)
* Semi-decent texture resolution (512x512)
* Embedded textures
* Optional weapon data files (I tried to replicate the KAP-40 experience I had when I played Black Ops II)
* Low end PC friendly!
As per always, DO NOT GO ONLINE WITH THIS MOD OR ANY MOD.You WILL get banned.
You get banned, it's YOUR fault.
File size:
w_sb_compactsmg_hi.ydr = 348kb
I removed the mags using a blank/dummy model.
2.) Installation
Using OpenIV, navigate to:
update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday8ng\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\weapons.rpf\
Replace w_sb_compactsmg_hi.ydr with mine.

MAKE BACKUPS INCASE YOU DO NOT LIKE THE MODIFIED HANDLING LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you wish to have a semi-KAP-40 esque experience, replace weaponmachinepistol.meta and weaponcomponents. located in:
\update\x64\dlcpacks\mplowrider\dlc.rpf\common\data\ai
Start up GTA V, then switch to your Compact SMG, either spawn it, buy it, whatever.
3.) Bugs

Funny thing, I actually have Black Ops 3 models on my HDD. However, they're a right pain in the ass to get working in GTA V. Usually an issue with some UV maps :/ (Tried the MR6 & the KN-44)

I think (think, not entirely sure) you can replace the AP Pistol with this mod. Just rename the files and then boot up GTA 5. (Data handling won;t be applied, however)

Yeah I know what you mean. I personally prefer the World War 2 CoD's over the new, futuristic stuff.
The atmosphere in those games was brilliantly done.

yeah i had a friend tell me thebo3 models are hard to rig for this game, by any chance do you think you could do any Belt-Fed lmg? there are literally no good alternatives to the m249 on this site
