Take your GTA V realism to the next level. The Exclusion Zone adds high-risk radioactive hotspots across San Andreas. This mod focuses on a slow-burn survival mechanic where the environment itself becomes your deadliest enemy.
In Version 2.0, the world has become even more dangerous with expanded zones and a new localized supply system for survival gear.
Key Features:
Accumulative Radiation: Exposure builds up in your system over time. The closer you are to the epicenter of a zone, the faster your levels rise.
Terminal Exposure Mechanic: Once your radiation bar hits 100%, your character suffers total system failure, collapses, and dies.
Dynamic HUD: A clean, stable UI at the top-center of your screen provides real-time data on your exposure percentage.
Active Protection: Equip a Gas Mask to halt radiation intake. Version 2.0 supports multiple mask variations for better compatibility with clothing mods.
Immersive Atmosphere: Experience screen distortions, visual "static," and a metallic geiger-sound as you enter contaminated areas.
Localized Supplies: Find dedicated Gas Mask supply points at key strategic locations to prepare for your journey into the zones.
CHANGELOG: v3.0 Beta (Enhanced)
NEW: Tactical Cop Patrols: Radioactive hotspots are now enforced by law. Dynamic police cruisers (Police4) will now spawn and patrol deep inside the zones.
NEW: Protected Law Enforcement: Patrouilling cops are fully equipped with tactical Gas Masks (SET_PED_COMPONENT_VARIATION). They are immune to radiation damage and will open fire on sight.
NEW: Proximity Approach Alerts: Added a high-priority warning system. Approaching within 250m of a zone triggers an urgent notification right above your minimap: "WARNING: Approaching Restricted Exclusion Zone!".
NEW: Intrusion Zone Grace Period: Entering the core zone (150m) now triggers an immediate countdown alert: "RESTRICTED AREA: Hostile response imminent in 8 seconds!".
NEW: Dynamic Wanted Level Integration: If you fail to leave the zone within the 8-second grace period, a direct tactical response is authorized, automatically triggering the configured Wanted Level.
NEW: Enhanced INI Control: Added a brand new [POLICE_SETTINGS] section to the configuration file, allowing players to toggle WantedOnIntrusion (true/false) and customize the exact IntrusionWantedLevel (stars).
UPDATED: Next-Gen Codebase: Completely rewritten and optimized specifically for ScriptHookVDotNet Enhanced, ensuring future-proof code stability and maximum performance.
FIXED: Core Enum & Model Loading Bugs: Replaced deprecated native wrappers and fixed strict SHVDN Enhanced parameter issues (SetWantedLevel, ApplyWantedLevelChangeNow), shifting asset management to a 100% crash-safe string method.
FIXED: NPC Filter Logic: Refined the global NPC radiation loop to automatically exclude protected patrol units from taking damage while wearing gear.
CHANGELOG: v2.0 Beta (Nightly)
NEW: Global NPC Radiation: The zones are now lethal for everyone. NPCs (passerby, police, etc.) within 250m of the player will now take radiation damage and eventually die.
NEW: NPC Sickness Symptoms: In high-threat zones (Level 3+), NPCs will show physical weakness, stumbling and falling (Ragdoll) before collapsing.
NEW: Critical Warning Tiers: Added a new notification layer. At 80% exposure, you will receive a red alert: "CRITICAL: Organ failure imminent!".
NEW: Updated Death Logic: Replaced the generic death message with "CRITICAL: Total organ failure." for a more clinical, dark survival feel.
FIXED: Performance Optimization: NPC checks are calculated every 2 seconds to ensure 0% impact on your FPS, even in crowded areas.
IMPROVED: INI Control: Added an [NPC_SETTINGS] section to the configuration file to confirm active NPC support logic.
NEW: Multi-Point Supply System: Added 3 permanent Gas Mask pickup locations (Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay Police Dept, and Vespucci).
NEW: Modernized Codebase: Completely rebuilt for ScriptHookVDotNet 3.0+ compatibility.
FIXED: HUD Flickering: Rewrote the drawing logic to ensure a 100% stable UI that no longer blinks.
FIXED: Deprecation Warnings: Replaced outdated Notification.Show calls with Notification.PostTicker for future-proof stability.
IMPROVED: Asset Loading: Implemented a new "Priority Request" system for props, ensuring Gas Mask canisters spawn reliably when you approach.
IMPROVED: Performance: Optimized the proximity-check loop to prevent script lag in heavy modded environments
ADDED: Enhanced INI Control: Full control over RadiationStrength and RecoveryRate via the configuration file.

Known Issues (v3.0 Beta 1) & Community Feedback
We are constantly working to make The Exclusion Zone as stable and immersive as possible. Since this is a fresh Beta built on the new ScriptHookVDotNet Enhanced framework, there are a few known bugs we are already tracking for the next upcoming stable release: INI Configuration Bypass: In the current build, tactical cop patrols may still spawn and trigger wanted stars even if WantedOnIntrusion is set to false or IntrusionWantedLevel is set to 0 in the .ini file.
Patrol Equipment Glitch: Due to GTA V's native vehicle AI overriding ped components, some responding officers might accidentally lose their gas masks or forget to draw their weapons immediately upon exiting their patrol cruisers.

If you encounter any other bugs, crashes, or infinite loading screens, please don't just say "it crashed". We need your help to fix them!

This would be perfect for the Pripyat add-on map.
A config that allows us to edit radiation zone areas would be nice. Or an in game menu to do something similar, but in game. I would for sure use this in my planned zombies series!
@DarKKlusteR "Thanks for the great feedback! I love the idea of a zombie series with this mod. I'm actually working on Version 1.5 right now to make sure everything is stable. For the next update, I'm planning to add a Config file (.ini) exactly as you suggested, so you can easily customize the zones for your series without touching the code. Stay tuned!"
@Starfox1993 "That’s exactly the vibe I’m aiming for! Pripyat + this mod is the ultimate combination. I’m currently finalizing v1.5 with better stability and a new gear supply system. In the next step, I’ll add a config file so you can place the radiation zones precisely over the Pripyat map markers. Thanks for the suggestion!"
@VelyXCore My pleasure.
Where do i get a gas mask overall sick mod tho
btw after u die ur radiation doesnt reset
I cant see the ini file anywhere
